U13 Regionals Recap


The u13 regionals wrapped up yesterday evening, and NCBA is incredibly proud of our 5 teams that represented NC. It has been an awesomely hectic couple of days for the teams, and here is their results for the tournament. 

Boys White:

Over the tournament the boys white had 7 games, coming out with the result of 6th in the boys A grade. Here are their matchups:

Game 1: Loss against North Otago (53-54)

Game 2: Win against Eastern Southland (54-39)

Game 3: Win against Mid Canterbury Gold (74-56)

Game 4: Loss against Canterbury Black (36-79)

Game 5: Loss against Otago A (42-47)

Game 6: Win against Marlborough Red (67-59)

Game 7: Loss against Canterbury Red (61-62)

 

Boys Black:

Boys white had a solid 7 games over the 4 day tournament, with a final placing of 12th in the boys B grade. Here are their results:

Game 1: Loss against Nelson (46-78)

Game 2: Loss against Southland (44-62)

Game 3: Loss against Canterbury (46-65)

Game 4: Win against Mid Canterbury Green (58-36)

Game 5: Loss against Southland (44-47)

Game 6: Loss against NC Maroon (46-58)

Game 7: Win against Mid Canterbury White (64-29)

 

Boys Maroon:

Boys Maroon had a solid 6 games finishing 10th overall in the boys B Grade. Here are their results:

Game 1: Loss against Marlborough Black (27-57)

Game 2: Win against Buller (68-55)

Game 3: Win against Mid Canterbury White (75-22)

Game 4: Win against Mid Canterbury Green (71-?)

Game 5: Win against NC Black (59-46)

Game 6: Loss against Southland B (36-48)

 

Girls Black:

The Girls black team had 7 games over this tournament, with the final placing of 9th in the Girls B grade. Here are the results:

Game 1: Loss against West Coast (40-50)

Game 2: Loss against Canterbury (24-56)

Game 3: Loss against South Canterbury (36-65)

Game 4: Loss against Eastern Southland (40-57)

Game 5: Win against Buller (40-35)

Game 6: Win against Mid Canterbury (62-11)

Game 7: Win against Buller (48-44)

 

Girls White:

Our Girls white team played 9 games for this tournament, finishing with the result of 3rd in the Girls A Grade. Here are their results:

Game 1: Win against Mid Canterbury Gold (57-41)

Game 2: Loss against Canterbury Red (28-76)

Game 3: Win against South Canterbury Black (34-31)

Game 4: Win against Southland A (60-28)

Game 5: Loss against Otago A (24-42)

Game 6: Win against Southland (53-51)

Game 7: Loss against Otago A (59-45)

Game 8: Win against South Canterbury Black (45-39)

 

Thank you so very much to mangers Anna B, Melanie, Sammy, Megan, Anna S, Jenny and  the manager co-ordinator Jasmine. We all really appreciate all the work you guys do behind the scenes and during games. Thank you to our coaches, how awesome that we had 5 teams to get coaches for and everyone who came along to regionals killed it. To our refs, thank you for always showing up and supporting our teams during tournaments, the game could not go on without you. And lastly, thank you Nicky S for all the work you do to help with all the prep before u13s! We are all stoked with how our tamariki went and we are already looking forward to regionals next year!
